Pay: $65/hr

Shift: 7 PM - 7:30 AM

Schedule: 3x12 (Three 12-hour shifts per week)

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Emergency Department

Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced Pediatric Emergency Department RNs to provide specialized, high-quality care to pediatric patients in critical and trauma situations. As an ED RN, you will need to respond swiftly and effectively to a range of emergency conditions, ensuring accurate assessments, prioritization of care, and rapid interventions.

Ideal candidates will have extensive pediatric experience and a background in Pedi ED, PICU, or NICU, preferably from multiple children’s hospitals.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Assess, triage, and provide emergency care for pediatric patients with various trauma and medical conditions.

✅ Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.

✅ Utilize critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.

✅ Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients and their caregivers.

✅ Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum 18 months of nursing experience in a Pediatric Emergency Department.

ED experience within the last 6 months.

Strong clinical knowledge and ability to formulate effective nursing care plans.

Proven ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments.

Experience in Pedi ED, PICU, or NICU preferred.

Education & Certifications:

Required:

✔ ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing)

✔ NJ RN License (or Multi-State Compact License)

✔ BLS (AHA)

✔ ACLS (AHA)

✔ PALS (AHA)

✔ NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

✔ Telemetry Certification

✔ 4-Hour Stroke CEU

Preferred:

✔ BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)

✔ NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program - AHA)

✔ ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
