Location: Neptune, NJ - 07754

Pay: $55-60/hr

⏰ Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Days: 3x12

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU Step-Down

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This includes planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs. You will develop individualized care plans and provide therapeutic nursing interventions while managing patient care. You will also advocate for evidence-based practice and provide patient-centric care.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient assessments.

Identify patient needs and prioritize care through assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized patient care plans.

Initiate assessments based on the patient's problems, medical diagnosis, and functional health framework.

Perform therapeutic nursing interventions.

Provide care for patients in a variety of units.

Document care per standards of practice and clinical priorities.

Advocate for evidence-based care standards and support innovations in care delivery.

Float to units within competency as needed.

Provide care in the Cardiac Vascular & Post-Surgical Stepdown Unit.

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience working in an MS/Tele unit in a major acute care hospital setting.

Strong MS/Tele background required.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Experience with Ventilator and Post-cardiac surgery patients.

Post-surgical experience is a plus.

Education:

Required: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing)

Preferred: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)

Required Certifications & Licensure:

ACLS (AHA)

NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

BLS (AHA)

CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours

Telemetry certification

NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
