Infusion Nurse

Position Title: Registered Nurse – Outpatient Infusion Clinic

Employment Type: Contract / Local Accepted

Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30) & Day 4x10-Hour (09:00 - 19:30)

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Outpatient Infusion or Oncology setting
• First-time travelers welcome
• Certifications:
• Required: BLS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC)
• Preferred: Biotherapy certification
• Skills:
• Administration of Chemotherapy (IV push, oral, and continuous infusion)
• Monitoring and symptom management (nausea/vomiting, edema, altered mental status, constipation/diarrhea, dysphagia, neuropathy, etc.)
• Central line/implanted line care and blood draws
• Starting and maintaining IVs
• Patient and family education/support
• EPIC charting proficiency

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments in an outpatient setting
• Provide symptom management and patient education throughout infusion cycles
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC
• Ensure safe medication handling and compliance with oncology protocols
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive cancer care
• Float between Rutgers and Morris Cancer Center as needed
